Kevin Kinback, M.D.

Graduating from Loma Linda University Medical School in 1992, Dr. Kinback did psychiatry training at Loma Linda, was Chief Resident, and remains on the faculty as Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry. He began private practice in Mission Viejo in 1995. With a keen interest in cutting-edge medicine, Advanced TMS was founded in 2009. Specializing in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy for treatment-resistant depression, Dr. Kinback has treated hundreds of with TMS therapy. He is certified on 3 different TMS devices, with a cutting-edge office including electronic medical records, patient & peer portals, genetic testing for personalized prescribing, EKG & lab services. Dr. Kinback brings high quality TMS therapy to Orange County, and is a leader in the Clinical TMS Society. Sometimes Dr. Kinback can be spotted training the adorable therapy dog at the office. Dr. Kinback is Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Jerry F. Benzl, MD
Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatrist
Jerry F. Benzl, MD has a diverse academic and medical training history. His U.C. Berkeley undergraduate degree is in mathematics and economics, with a master's degree in social sciences from UC Irvine. His journey into psychiatry started at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, where he completed both his M.D. and psychiatry residency. Illinois was a fantastic place to learn and train, with cultural diversity, and a wide variety of patient circumstances. In our Orange County community, Dr. Benzl did his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of California, Irvine. He sees psychiatry as a field where each person’s health is impacted by their environment, biology and interpersonal relationships. Dr. Benzl independently treats children, adolescents and adults in our office.
Adam D. Borecky, MD
Adolescent & adult psychiatrist, Board-Eligible, TMS specialist
Dr. Borecky was born and raised in Escondido, California. At Loma Linda University he obtained both his Doctorate in Medicine (MD) and a Master of Arts in Clinical Bioethics. He trained in Psychiatry at Loma Linda University Health, serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Borecky has a special interest in treatment-resistant depression and other mood disorders, and is trained in TMS therapy. He is accepting new patients 13 and older for treatment both in-person and telehealth. He has published in top medical journals including the American Journal of Bioethics, Acta Paediatrica, and Academic Psychiatry, with research interest in the interface between ethics, law & psychiatry, suicidology, and improving medical education. He contributed to the Psychiatry & Psychotherapy Podcast with Dr. David Puder, a leading Psychiatry education resource. In his free time, he loves nothing more visiting Disneyland with his wife, strength training, and cooking with close friends.
Sharon Chen, DO
Adolescent & adult psychiatrist, Board-Eligible
Dr. Chen is a Southern California native who is excited to serve the area of Orange County. She completed her medical education at Western University of Health Sciences and then her residency training at Loma Linda University. She joined Advanced TMS in 2023 and specializes in evaluation, and treatment of patients 18 and older both in person and by telehealth. Dr. Chen enjoys working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) by offering lifestyle modifications in addition to medication treatment. She is also certified in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for insomnia. Her goal is to help her patients feel connected and empowered to navigate life’s challenges. Outside of medicine, she finds joy in discovering new places to eat, baking desserts and helping rescue dogs find forever homes.
Anthony D. Duk, MD
Adult Psychiatrist, Adolescent Psychiatrist, Board-Eligible
Dr. Duk brings 20 years experience as a Vietnamese Roman Catholic general & adult psychiatrist. He completed both his medical education, and trained in psychiatry at Loma Linda University, serving there as chief resident in Psychiatry. He then worked at the Veteran’s Hospital (VA) in Loma Linda for 4 years before private practice. For patients inclined to integrate their spirituality into psychiatric treatment, Dr. Duk strives to help them understand how to handle their problems, endure pain and find meaning in life. Patients 13 and older can schedule with Dr. Duk mostly by telehealth, but he has some limited capacity for in-person treatment. His many interests include flying drones, teaching martial arts, reading Aristotelian and Thomist philosophy, apologetics, weightlifting, marksmanship, and leading bible studies. Dr. Duk is very active with his family and wife of 20 years.
Mohamed El-Menshawi, MD
Adolescent & adult psychiatrist, Board-Eligible
Dr. El-Menshawi joins us from Orlando, FL where, during his medical school years at FIU, he was a strong advocate for student and physician wellness. He specializes in psychiatry and medication management, treating patients 13 and older, both in person and by telehealth. He volunteered as both a mentor and a student ambassador for medical students. His psychiatry training was completed at Loma Linda University, giving him experience in treating a wide variety of patients. He was the driving force behind several wellness initiatives, and enjoyed competing in his hobbies including the FIU Master Chef Cook-Off in which he was a finalist, and even founded his own Mediterranean cuisine health food brand. His areas of interest include trauma, substance abuse, and psychedelic research. In his spare time, he enjoys camping, creating art, working in his garden, and spending time with his dog.
Lindsey Law, MD
Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist, Adolescent Psychiatrist
Dr. Law is a graduate both of Yale (Cellular & Developmental Biology), and Johns Hopkins (MS Health Science). Her honors include Delta Omega Honor Society, and the prestigious Elsa Orent kelles Fellowship in Biochemistry. She completed her MD at the University of Minnesota, and trained in psychiatry at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior in Los Angeles, California, and was Inpatient Chief Resident. Working in both inpatient & outpatient psychiatry, and internationally, Dr. Law brings a wide range of experience and talent to our Center. Board-certified in adult psychiatry, Dr. Law is bilingual in English & Mandarin. Patients ages 16 and older can be scheduled with Dr. Law by appointment. Dr. Law brings extensive expertise in telepsychiatry and psychopharmacology. She participates in-network with Medicare and most insurance and as an independent contractor provides services.
Ariana E. Martinez, MD
Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatrist, Board-Eligible
Dr. Ariana Martinez attended medical school, and also completed both adult and child & adolescent subspecialty training at Loma Linda University. Prior to medical school, she worked in several capacities with adolescents, including martial arts instruction, and coaching soccer, as well as regularly mentoring youth outside of athletics. Dr. Martinez joined Advanced TMS Center in 2023, and treats patients of all ages, including young children, mostly by telehealth, but in-person treatment can also be arranged. Her interests include lifestyle interventions and their integration into psychiatric care. She is working on her Spanish proficiency, and also enjoys biking, gardening and spending time with family.
Michele Okonski, PsyD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Michele A. Okonski is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, graduating from Nova Southeastern University School of Psychology in 1995, with an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at the VA Hospital in Loma Linda. She has experience with inpatient and outpatient care on many different levels including treatment planning, crisis intervention, psychosocial evaluation and traditional psychotherapy. These roles give her extensive experience and training in different psychotherapy approaches, and strategies to provide personalized and customized treatment for each patient. Her experience includes treating anxiety, depression, addictions/substance abuse and eating disorders. This treatment approach provides a very safe and supportive atmosphere to reach treatment goals, typically including: relationship and interpersonal coping skills, analyzing interactions between brain biology and behavior, understanding personality dynamics, addressing emotional difficulties, and personal development. She is an expert in helping individuals replace maladaptive behavior patterns with more constructive and effective ones.
Elham "Ellie" Hunt, MFT

Elham Hunt is an independent practitioner who shares the office with ATMS Center. Ms. Hunt is bilingual in English & Farsi. Ellie specializes in family therapy, child and parenting issues, as well as individual therapy. She is contracted with most commercial insurance and Caloptima, but not Medicare.
